George was a very talented man who I had the great fortune to meet and work with for many years. His good humour and enthusiasm made every meeting a pleasure. He was always ready to help and was generous with his time and energies.

George was a trusted partner and friend who will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to George's family.

Jirko

Dear Ivava, Marketa, Viktorie and Klara,

I was deeply saddened when I heard of George’s death. When we first met we were colleagues, we soon became friends. The years we knew each other were many and ended too soon. Our experiences together were numerous and always a pleasure for me.

My heart and thoughts are with you all at this time.

I will miss you Jiri.

Dear Ivana and family,

I am fortunate to have first met George in Singapore in early 2000 and to see him recently in Amsterdam. George was a great guy to work with and always had a positive approach in times of adversity. His intellect was matched only by his wit and business acumen. George always spoke with passion about his kids and family.

Deepest condolences to the family – George will be missed by many and will always be remembered fondly.

Sincerely,

Jason

Dear Ivana and family,

I am so sorry for your loss. George was my good, good friend. We met through work but I always thought that God sent him my way because he knew I needed a friend like him.

Last time he was in Toronto, he did not have time to visit my office and he made sure that he sends his regards and apologies. Just that little thought tells us how great friend and a wonderful person he was.

Dear George,

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being my friend and one of my younger brothers. I will never forget you. You were a very special person and I will treasure our conversations for ever.

God bless your soul my dear friend.

Love, Maria Georgiou

I only knew George for 2 days but he made a great impression. The atmosphere in his company was as good as ever I have ever come across and this is always a reflection of the leadership. I had already planned my next trip to Prague and was greatly looking forward not just to doing business but to more eating, drinking and laughing. I am very saddened and extend my condolences to his family.

Ivana and family,

I was lucky enough to meet George over 10 years ago in Hong Kong and many times since in Japan, Korea and Prague. I remember the sense of satisfaction I felt when George first asked me how I thought we should fix some problem... here was the great man asking my advice!? He was just being kind of course, making people feel involved was one of the things he did best.

His technical brilliance was balanced by a wonderful sense of humor, a humble interest in others and a simple, genuine love for life. A rare combination. We were actually the same age but he always seemed years ahead of me in so many ways. He will be sadly missed by many all over the world.

We at Cisco will miss him deeply. He was wonderful to work with on any type of project. His “can do” sprit and positive attitude helped us get out of many tough situations with our customers. He and his family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks for everything George. You will be missed.
