Dear Ivana and girls,

Although we have never met we felt that we should send a short message of our feelings for George.

I first met George when I took over as EMEA Sales Director for Scientific Atlanta based out of the UK. At that time I was working for Peter Cresse and was introduced to George as part of the ongoing team at S.A. We immediately felt a common synergy and became friends as well as working colleagues. George was a very unique person, likable, clever with a great personality.

I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss, our loss, but can only say that as time goes by your deep sadness will fade and you will have many, very happy memories to help support you and the girls.

Both Adriana and I hope to visit your country in the next two years and hope to meet you.

With love and support at this time,

Adriana and Mike Bennett

Drahá zarmoucená rodino, přítelé a známí,

Byly to krásné roky.

On behalf of our family, I would like to extend our deep sorrow and sincere sympathy for George's family.

George was a collegue of mine. One of the products he designed and built (a secure call distribution hardware) for Terren Corporation has been working for the last 17 years(!!) without any intervention - a rare accomplishment by any standards.

Dear Ivana and girls,

Three years ago with wonderful weather I visited your house with Hans Siedsma, my Dutch pilot friend, Ivo Mikac, Jiri Marek and Pavel Riha - the technical Europa-airplane specialists - and met a pleasant, energetic and self confident man who did not forget to be a "young boy" as well when talking "flying". He was an "afficionado" of the air, had a wonderful airplane and apparently ws not afraid for greater flying ventures.

George was very helpful an I could borrow his "Europa"-trailer and he was loking forward to see each other again, which will not happen, sadly enough.

George will be remembered.

Very simply put, George was lovely person and a joy to work with. I send my condolences to his entire family and friends, but especially his wife and children. My thoughts are with them.

George was real friend and much more than that. Also very generous man, great worker and a loving father of three beautiful girls. Flying made him relax, it gave him moments of happiness, which he often shared with friends. Then on that tragical Monday evening of September 14th 2009, his wings were broken suddenly.

Ivana and girls,

George was a remarkable man. He was blessed with many gifts of which the most important was his love of his family - which he spoke proudly of you and often.

He also possessed the gift of making difficult tasks look easy and making others feel good. He took a love of electronics and people and turned it into an international business.

Throughout his lifetime, George touched the lives of many people who will always remember him.

Godspeed George, we will miss you always.

I am so saddened by this news. What a loss for all of us as George was one of the true gentleman of the broadcast industry. I had the deepest respect for his intellect and work ethic. I immediately took a liking to George as he had a very cool headed approach to solving problems. And beyond that - what a wonderful person to converse with.

I'd like to share my favorite story regarding George. It was spring of 2000 and we were upgrading a Power Vu system, which wasn't going all that well. We went to an electronics store to purchase a television that could decode teletext. While driving in a rented SAAB with manual transmission, he is holding the mobile phone in one hand while shifting with the other. Steering the car off and on with knees and his left hand, he mumbles 'Bloody English - driving on the wrong side of the road." "George", I ask, " have you driven in the UK before?" "No - this is my first time." as he resumes his phone call and I am scared witless.

George - you are a gentleman whose presence will be sorely missed. My condolences to your family as you always spoke about them with a sparkle in your eye.

My sincere condolences go to you Ivana and his most precious Markéta, Viktorie, and Klára, he was always so very proud of you all and a true spark appeared in his eyes whenever he spoke about you.

Dear Ivana, Markéta, Viktorie, and Klára

George - your husband and dad - will stay in our hearts for as long as we are here. Someone who touched us so much doesn't leave our thoughts and memory. I love George and I consider him my half brother.

I had the pleasure to work with George but also spend quality time skiing in the Alps. My house is open and I look forward to see you and the girls.

George is there for you. Take strenght by thinking he wants you to succeed in everything you want to do.

He was a remarkable and very talented person always ready with helping hand, always with big smile on his face and always full of life and energy. My family and I will miss him very much.

To the families of both men lost in a flying accident.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy at your tragic and sudden loss. I attended Texel that weekend flying direct to and from the UK but I left on Saturday. We didn't meet but I know you were in the Europa Family and so were friends with shared interests and passions.

God Bless you all in your grief and try to celebrate the good things of their lives so prematurely cut short.

George was a cheerful, happy man who lived his life to its full extent. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his friends. He was always full of energy, always keeping busy with his hobbies. He loved flying in his own airplane, skiing in the mountains, and traveling to various countries.

George was very skilled and gifted businessman. He co-founded Javlin company in 2005 and since then he served as a President of Javlin and its software division, Opensys. He was a great visionary, an accomplished engineer and an incredible leader. Under his guidance, the company grew from two employees at the start to forty five employees in 2009 supporting major companies in Europe and the U.S. with services and software.

George had over twenty years experience in various IT and electronics industry projects, spanning from airborne radar design to data migration tool development. In addition, he was an international expert in video distribution systems around the world. Prior to founding Javlin, he worked in various technical roles with DHL, Scientific-Atlanta/Cisco and Nortel Networks.

George leaves behind his wife Ivana and three daughters Markéta, Viktorie, and Klára.
